AC Milan is closing in on a loan deal to sign Rasmus Hojlund from Manchester United, with the Danish striker open to joining the Rossoneri. Milan will pay a €6 million loan fee with a €45 million buy option clause included as well.
After United had recently signed Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig for £73.6 million, Hojlund’s game time would’ve been significantly reduced in the upcoming season, which is far from ideal, given Hojlund’s desire to lead the line for Denmark in the 2026 World Cup.
United signed Hojlund from Atalanta in a £72m deal in July 2023. He has scored 26 goals in 95 games for the Red Devils, but never really lived up to the vast expectations that the club and fans had for him.

Elsewhere, Newcastle United are near an agreement with Aston Villa over the signing of Jacob Ramsey. The deal is nearing completion, with a £40 million package reportedly being offered. Despite West Ham’s approach, Ramsey only wants Newcastle.
He has scored 17 goals in 167 appearances for Villa since earning his senior debut in 2019 and was a regular for Unai Emery’s side last season.
Although primarily deployed as an Attacking Midfielder by Unai Emery, Jacob Ramsey has shown incredible versatility during his time at Villa, proving he’s comfortable playing a plethora of positions, including Left Wing, Right Wing, and sometimes deployed as a box-to-box number 8.
Ramsey will be a shrewd addition to Newcastle, slotting into an already magnificent midfield consisting of Bruno Guimaraes and Sandro Tonali, most likely spearheading the attacking front of Newcastle’s midfield, enhancing its quality.
